Nicole Tonak grew up on a family farm outside of Willow Lake, SD where her family was involved in diversified crop production & hog production. She graduated from Willow Lake High School and then earned her degree from Lake Area Technical Institute. Nicole worked for DeSmet Farm Mutual Insurance Company and Dacotah Bank prior to a career path that steered her into agriculture, where she has found herself the past 18 years. She began her agriculture career in the Agronomy Department at Clark Community Oil, where she worked. In 2009 Nicole was hired by Cargill as a customer service representative and moved into the role as a Grain Farm Marketer for Cargill in 2012. Nicole was responsible for developing and building customer relationships and working one on one with producers to develop personalized marketing plans to meet their individual business needs. In 2018, Nicole joined the Kluis Commodity Advisors team working in their Willow Lake, SD branch office. Nicole Lives near Willow Lake with her husband Dan, where they have a small grain operation and also raise and show registered Hampshire Sheep. Nicole and Dan have 4 children, Ashley, Logan, Jennifer and Reed. Nicole is actively involved in her church and enjoys spending time with her family and loves camping and fishing at the lake any time she has the opportunity.
